The psvita/TV application has been wonky for me as well. Having the exact same problems as described by previous posters. I'm really sad I can't keep up with currently streaming shows because of these problems :(

seems to still be issues with the app, agree with the glitchy video/desyncing audio. I'm assuming it was from the latest Vita update and it hasn't been working on this firmware? Although i'm noticing other apps not working right as well, like Crackle or Twitch. sending another request and will update if I hear back.

Anyone get a response for this video/audio sync issue?
Just submitted my own report, but yeah kind of disappointing that the Vita app is in this state where you can't watch new releases.

edit:
Fix apparently being worked on already. Wonder how long it will take?

I received an email from Crunchyroll support team today (6/29/2018) telling me the issue had been fixed.
The issue was initially reported on 5/25/2018.

I tested the PS Vita video playback and it continues broken.

Any chance of this getting fixed soon? It's been over 2 months, and the last response I got from a ticket I sent said they were aware of the issue...

Today (4 months after the initial bug report) I turned on my PS Vita and noticed there was a firmware update as well as a Crunchyroll app update.

I had high expectations and crossed my fingers in hope.

Unfortunately, I don't know what bugs the app update fixed but video playback continues broken.

I've had issues too, but only since firmware patch 3.69.

Usually it'll work fine for 3-6 minutes, then the video starts lagging. Backing out and going back into it tends to fix the problem for another 3-6 minutes.

I see support tickets being mentioned, but can't for the life of me find out where to send one. Anyone?

So, there is no response from Crunchyroll? After more than a year, the app still doesn't work fine. They are even going to duplicate the price of the subscription...

I'm seeing the same thing, after a few minutes audio and video desync. I'm on the newer 2000-series vita.

I filed a report back in October 2018, this is the response I got from support:

This is a known issue that's actually affecting a number of users. Our team is hard at work putting together a fix.

Obviously I'm still seeing the problem otherwise I wouldn't be posting here. My workaround is to press left on the d-pad to skip back a few seconds, that usually fixes it for a little while, but I have to repeat this more times than I can remember in a single episode. I've also got a PS4 (works absolutely fine) so I try and watch on that instead as much as possible, but it does mean I'm not watching as much as I could be.

I wonder if lowering the quality/bitrate or swiching between CBR/VBR would help? But not something us users can do ourselves. Maybe CR can put some test videos up at different bitrates for us to try?

Over 8 months and this issue still isn't fixed. The app essentially does not work on this platform. Sent another ticket a week ago asking if this will ever get fixed but have yet to hear any response. Just gonna unsubscribe.

I sent a support ticket and was first told to try the following, which I'd tried in the past to no avail:

1. On your device: clear your cache and delete any Crunchyroll app data
2. Uninstall the app from the device
3. From your web browser: go to (https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=devices)
4. Click Unlink and Deactivate on any rows related to the device
5. On your device reinstall the Crunchyroll app.

After trying the above a few more times with no success I got back to them and was told:

Thank you for emailing back in. I was notified that this is a known issue that's actually affecting a number of users. Our team is hard at work putting together a fix.

Reading this thread, they seem to have been telling people this for a good while. They don't have an ETA for this supposed fix. I was, however, told to follow up with them, which I plan on doing in a month's time.

Funny thing is, I started watching videos in the drama category this year, and they work fine!

EDIT: I was asked to rate the support received, and the bad rating I gave (since no clear solution was offered) seems to have got their attention. Here's hoping a fix is coming in the near future.
