About the Team:

Crunchyroll Games is a brand new division within Crunchyroll that specializes in publishing mobile anime games in the world ex-Asia markets. As a Game Producer, you will work closely with the publishing, marketing, localization, design, social media, and product teams to take an original or adapted anime game from Japan and introduce it to the rest of the world.

This positions collaborates closely with Senior Management, external development studios, and various partners to ensure a smooth development and launch of Crunchyroll Games. You will act as the point of contact to facilitate game operations, timing of game launches, content updates, and optimizing monetization.

Location: San Francisco

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for Crunchyroll and VRV's passionate communities.

About you:

  • Experience as a game producer or publisher for 4+ years, mobile space preferred
  • Keen understanding of game landscape in multiple markets (especially US/CA)
  • Keen understanding of player lifecycle and monetization
  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably related to our content)
  • Strong background in media and entertainment
  • Bilingual proficiency (Japanese) a huge plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong written and oral communication

A day in the life of the CR Games Team:

  • Interface between shared services teams around art, creative, localization, marketing, and audience development during the life cycle of Crunchyroll Games
  • Act as end-to-end Project Manager to establish and execute upon planning, iteration, and launch of Crunchyroll Games
  • Work with Crunchyroll internal teams and broader anime marketing groups to facilitate promotion and launch
  • Prepare launch updates, game operations reports, and KPI updates to senior management as needed
  • Primary point of contact for all external partners for the specific game(s) assigned
  • Collaborate with Japanese publishers and developers for game localization
  • Participate in key negotiations and strategic discussions for game titles
